"To live your life in your own way... to reach for the goals you have set for yourself... to be the you that you want to be - that is success." ~Mary Loberg
This month we celebrate Independence Day in the United States. In conversation with myself, I asked, "what do freedom and independence mean to me and how have they manifested in my life?"
Twenty-two years ago, I chose the industry of network marketing because it embodied the principles of freedom and independence. I know of no other place where we have the freedom to work how, where,
when and with whom we choose, and the ability to attain true financial independence for ourselves and our families.
As with any journey, there can be many bumps, hurdles and detours along the way; but just knowing that in overcoming every obstacle you are closer to your goal of building a true legacy, an empire of
your very own, you are manifesting the ultimate expression of freedom.
Today, I give thanks to the industry of network marketing for setting me FREE!!!
I know I'm not alone in believing that network marketing is the ultimate vehicle in achieving financial and personal independence. We want to hear your expression of freedom! Please share with us why you've chosen network marketing as your vehicle for achieving freedom and independence. Let's take the time to inspire and be inspired...it's the right thing to do!

Happy New Year!
I have to say, the holidays and down time we're great but it feels so good to be back to work and in
pursuit of brand new goals with a renewed sense of vigor!
You ARE feeling that way too, aren't you?
If you're needing a little kick start, or some deep down inspiration, I have a suggestion for you! Get out some magazines, scissors and glue and create your Vision Board...or better yet, get together with a group of friends for a Vision Board Party!
That's exactly what we did New Years weekend. I had a group of friends over from my jazz dance class and we put on some soft music, poured some mimosas, cranked up the fire and settled in for a long afternoon of projecting our dreams onto poster board in vivid, vibrant colorful expressions of who we are becoming this year and beyond. It truly was a magical day and deepened our relationship with each other as well as ourselves.
If you've never heard of a Vision Board, I suggest you watch the movie The Secret (most video rental stores now carry it) which popularized this activity that many of us in the personal development world have been doing for decades. In short, it is a collage of pictures and words that represent what you're intending to create in your life.
All of the success masters and even successful businesses like IBM will tell you that when setting goals, BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND. There's no better way to do this than a Vision Board!
I have my board hanging on the wall of my office now and it is a daily reminder of the unlimited realm of possibilities I am attracting into my life. And in dance class, my friends keep thanking me for hosting the event, sharing how they're feeling more focused and excited about their goals than ever before.
Here are a few pointers for you in case you have never made a vision board before:
1.) Spend a few quiet moments before you begin and allow yourself to be open and guided by your intuition.
2.) Put on some soft music.
3.) Cut out pictures in magazines that "speak to you". Again, allow your intuition to be your guide.
4.) Include pictures representing different aspects of your life such as: health, career, finances, relationship & family, spirituality, personal development, community.
5.) Don't glue things down right away. Once you have a lot of pictures, begin laying them out on your poster board. You'll be amazed at how it comes together. Again, let your intuition guide you.
6.) Glue sticks are handy but the glue doesn't always last long term. Elmer's is the worst for this project. Rubber cement is best.
7.) Include a picture of yourself! You should be central in your vision!
(We had 11 & 13 year old sisters at our party and instead of photos they put a piece of mirror in their
boards so they can always see their present self in their Vision- so clever!).
8.) You might also use images from greeting cards or other memorabilia you have collected.
9.) If there is an image of something in particular you want to include but can't find, google "images"
and print them. I was able to find a universal symbol for "family connection" and a symbol for "circle of friends" and one for "animal rescue" in this way.
10.) Hang your board where you will see it daily and spend a few moments intentionally and gratefully enjoying the future you are attracting.
Please check out the slide show and video below and then share your Vision Board tips, experiences and manifestations by leaving a COMMENT BELOW!

Yesterday was a very important day for me. It's was son Caleb's birthday. For me it's much more than a day for cake and ice cream and presents. It's not just about Caleb turning a year older, it's my "WHY" day.
On June 17th 1987, the day Caleb was born, I was faced with a life-changing decision. I had to decide whether or not to go back to teaching that fall and leave this precious little boy in the hands of someone else for the majority of my waking hours.
Jobs weren't easy to come by in my town and I knew if I left, I may never be hired as a teacher again. But my calling as a mother was the stronger pull. Twenty-one years later, I look back without a single regret. Just as one door closes, another opens. Shortly after quitting my job, I was introduced to network marketing.
As I started my new business, I was uncertain and nervous about redefining myself and what I stood for. But one thing I became crystal clear about right away, quitting was not an option! Every time doubt crept in, I looked into my little boy's face and reviewed my options, which always drove me back to the phone with a renewed sense of purpose.
Do you have a "WHY" day?
Establishing your "WHY" is the single most important step in starting and succeeding in your home-based business. Why? Because one thing I can promise you, there will be challenges! The road to success is not without potholes!
However, with a keen desire and focused dedication, you can learn to smoothly navigate any distraction in your path. In fact, you'll even learn to view the bumps as opportunities to learn and grow!
Here's Your Home Play:
-[> Determine your "WHY" Today!
Get A Notebook and make it a nice one that you'll enjoy working in. This will become your road map to success and will be with you through the duration of your journey.
Find a nice quiet place without any distractions. Prepare to spend at least 30 minutes on this exercise. Don't worry about how your answers sound. Just free flow write. This is fun and can be very revealing!
Ask Yourself the following questions and write them down:
-[> 1.) If I didn't have to work for a living what would I love to do?
-[> 2.) If I were given $10 million dollars (tax free!) what would I do with it? (Of course you'd pay the bills, but after that) No limits here, write it ALL down!
-[> 3.) If I just found out I had six (healthy) months to live, what would I do with the rest of my life (your "Bucket List")?
Identifying Your "WHY" Helps You Define Your True Purpose In Life!
Now try to determine the essence of these desires. Ask yourself, "if I did this, or had that, what would it bring to me?" These thoughts should reveal to you the lifestyle you want and the type of person you aspire to be.
When you know your purpose, you can put passion behind it. When you move forward with passion, there's no stopping you and others will be attracted to follow you! Therein lies the key to success in your home-based business!
Make a commitment to yourself to pursue your life's purpose and create the lifestyle you want. Become the person you desire to be. Your purpose and the passion that flows from it, is what will empower you, no matter how bumpy the road gets! I know, I've been there!
Here is a picture of Caleb on my WHY DAY (his 21st birthday, June 17th, 2008) with his vegan chocolate raspberry cake Yummy!!! (click on photo to enlarge it.)
Have a happy "Why" day! ~PowerGal :-)

Recently we attended Derek Gehl's Interenet Marketing Wealth Seminar in Los Angeles, California. Pat and are big believers that to continue growing your business, you must continually dip into the soup of knowledge and stay current with the ever-changing trends in your market...so we attend a lot of events. And it always makes a difference! I came home with three notebooks of information that we can apply to our business.
You can't make excuses and money at the same time!
Just like you, we are busy people. We could make an endless list of excuses why we don't have the time or the bandwidth to attend an event. But it always comes back to this: You can't make excuses and money at the same time!
On a scale of 1-10 What's Your Commitment Level?
We met a lot of remarkable people at the seminar, some of whom we've reconnected with already and will continue to network with for years to come. One of those people was a man named Richard. What stood out about Richard was not his Internet Marketing Saavy as he is a beginner, just starting to explore his options. What impressed us about Richard, was his commitment level. On a scale of 1-10, Richard is a perfect 10!
It's our pleasure to introduce you to Richard. Please view the video below to see what we mean about Richard's commitment level.
See what we mean about Richard?
What can you do TODAY to re-commit to your SUCCESS?
Please share your ideas in the COMMENTS area below. We always LOVE to hear from you!
Fun Photos from the Seminar:

The business highlight of this month for Pat and me was attending Alex Mandossians Instant Teleseminar Secrets Alumni Seminar. We are firm believers that When you're green you grow and when you're ripe you're rotten, so we continue to attend seminars often! I hope you do too!
A golden nugget I want to share is a presentation from a bright, talented and generous couple named Pat & Lorna Shanks (gotta love anyone named Pat!). These two really stood out because even as participants they added so much value to the weekend. They embodied the attitude of "what I can do for you and your business?" and weren't there just looking for what they could get for themselves. Do you think they'll go farther, faster because of that one small distinction?
Besides the amazing number of new tips and resources we gleaned, we connected with some of the highest quality, confident, talented and inspiring entrepreneurs I've ever met all in one room. I am sure many new Joint Venture partnerships were forged!
Let me ask you, do you attend events regularly so that you can expand your network? Remember, your network is your NETWORTH! Even if you're not in a position to travel to a networking event, find out what's available in your local area. Have you checked out your own local Chamber of Commerce? Why not join and meet the movers and shakers of your own community for starters?
I picked up so much from
Besides the powerful presentation they shared (I promise we'll get to that in a moment) they donated their time to fund raising for Alex's favorite charity. As a group we were able to present Alex with a nice BIG check for SmartStartGiving. It just happened to be Alex's 44th birthday so that was a pretty cool gift, and couldn't have been appreciated more!
OK now for the presentation. As it turns out, Alex has a certain fondness for Donkeys too (we have two pet Donkeys)! He tells a great parable about Smuggling Donkeys in his Teleseminar Secrets Course.
In keeping with the theme, Pat and Lorna Shank created a spectacular video presentation about a little donkey with a HUGE message about resilience. If you have ever been at a place where you felt like giving up, you MUST watch this 2 min, 12 second presentation...and then pass it forward! This simple act may be the difference that makes the difference in your or someone else's life and business.
CLICK HERE for the Donkey Story NOW! You'll be glad you did! The ending may shock you!
Enjoy!

When I work with coaching clients, in order to uncover their passion, their dreams, their "WHY", one of the exercises I give them is to do a stream of consciousness writing on the question: If I just found out I had 6 (healthy) months to live, how would I spend my time?
I just watched this profoundly touching video featured on Oprah that addresses this question better than anything I've ever seen. I invite you to watch it and then go out an pursue your dreams with the kind of passion inspired by the realization that any day could be your last and that you have the choice...and the power within...to make every moment you live a purposeful expression of who you aremeant to be!
How would you spend your last 6 months? This has become a very personal question recently as my father-in-law has been diagnosed with lung caner and doctors are telling him he has 6-12 months to live. At 84 he is still working because he loves to and just last week he remodeled his house. He's living each moment to the fullest doing what he loves to do.
Please leave a comment below after you watch the video. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
To Your Best!

Today many Americans will remember and celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. King shared his vision, his dream, of freedom passionately and fearlessly.
What is your dream?
What are you willing to fight and die for?
Most of us in the network marketing and the home-based business industry began our venture because we are visionaries. The difference between us and ordinary people is that we are willing to reach beyond the dream, to take action! We will work tirelessly and fearlessly to transform our dreams into reality.
The first step to our success, is to establish beyond a shadow of a doubt "WHY" we are in this business. The bigger our "WHY", the greater the passion and commitment to making it happen no matter what the cost to ourselves physically, emotionally, mentally, monetarily. If our "WHY" is bigger than ourselves, we'll keep on keeping on, NO MATTER WHAT!
This is the stuff dreams are made of!
So I ask you, is your "WHY" Big enough that the dream stealer's can't stop you?
What are you willing to fight and die for?
For some it may be about family, for others about community and helping others. Many people dream of true financial freedom where not only is money no longer an issue, but they actually have the time to enjoy what it can do for them.
If you don't have an answer to this, I challenge you to do some soul searching NOW. Get real clear on your priorities, write them down in vivid detail and move forward with passion! Once you do this, nothing can stop you!
Use may want to use the words from Martin Luther King's, I have A Dream" speech to inspire you!

Please share "Your Dream" in the comments section below. I would really love to hear what drives you!

It's 6:00 pm and we've just successfully completed our very first Dig in and Dial day! Kudos to those who participated and remained accountable to the team and themselves throughout the day! The resounding feedback was that this was extremely worthwhile and WHEN CAN WE DO IT AGAIN!?!?
I promise that we will very soon! But meanwhile, why not start your own Dig in and Dial team? It really only takes you and one other person to do it. The whole point is to set some dialing goals, dial like crazy for an hour, check in and share, coach each other through the rough spots (which by the way will diminish rapidly the more calls you make) and go back to dialing like mad.
Today's participants all reported what a huge difference it made for them just knowing they had a supportive team holding them accountable throughout the day. Where they may have given up in the past, they pushed on today and made more calls than they normally would have.
Let's talk about results! Leon from FL was afraid to make calls and stalled the first two hours. By the end of the day he was making 5 calls an hour! Paul from NJ put 5 new people in his pipeline! Fay from KY, put 5 in her pipeline and made 4 new product sales and Joan from FL (using our gold telephone verified leads) put 14 new people into her pipeline! I am so proud of all of you and everyone else who took the challenge today! Just imagine what your business will look like at the end of one month if you did this type of activity 3-5 days a week? I can't wait to hear how many new team members these team players all have after their follow-up calls!
It was Gothe who said, "Boldness has genius in it. Whatever you can, begin it now!"
So be bold and start your own Dialing Accountability Team. You can get a free conference calling line that holds up to 30 people at http://www.mrconference.com/
Begin it NOW!!!
Dedicated to Your Success!
