People tend to follow the masses. Some follow right away while it takes others some time before they follow.
My 2 cents. Thank You for the video.

It means...
1) You work out! And look a helluva lot better in a bathing suit than I do! Way to go!!!
2) Some people don't mind breaking out of the crowd.
3) Some people prefer to follow.
4) People "interpret" a way to follow that suits them.
5) The most reluctant are often, in the end, the most exuberant.
6) Most people DO look around to see what others are doing or how they themselves look to others. We're gregarious--social animals--always checking out how we're the same as or different from. See this article on the legless world-traveling photographer: http://www.csmonitor.com/2008/0122/p20s01-ussc.html
7) Give a good-looking guy a camera and he turns into a ham-ster. lol!
This was so fun. Staged or just recorded? Tres cool.

Sometimes as adults we act like kids.Remember,"you go first" "no,you go first" I wiil bet everyone standing there was going through some related mind chatter. The young lady looked at every one just waiting to see who was going in first and probably said "the heck with those Turkeys, (or Chickens) I'm going for it!!
Some people are leaders and some are followers.
Who would you rather be?
Hey,how come that Toad with the camera didn't jump in?

Someone left a silent but deadly fart, and so the water must be better than whats happening here on the dock!
Hey, most everyone is full of gas, but those who really go for it can enjoy the water. Come on in, the waters fine!

To me it demonstrates that nothing happens until action is taken and then others will get involved. In other words, how serious are you?

People will duplicate what you do.
Be an example - the best way to help others succeed is to be successful yourself.
Fear is removed when others have gone before you.
These metaphors are awesome Tracy, Thanks!

My first thought was "Go Jump In the Lake"
But you wanted a marketing explanation.
Many people will follow anybody without understanding why.
There are only a few leaders but many folowers.
Some will survey the situation before following.
Some are more cautious than others, but eventually they will join the others because they want to belong to the group.
Some people grasp the value of a truth quickly and take the lead to join a good thing.

As I watched everyone going into the water, I would say that some are ready to walk in slowly and check things out, going at their own pace, others will watch other before taking their first step and other will leap into the lake and get on board aggressively and as a leader we must be sensitive to all the different types of personalities...to not blow them out of the water...just my opinion

This video is about human nature and conformity.
Every one wants to watch some else do it first.
Witch is not all bad but at least get in and try it for yourself.
You can always get out and go back to what you were doing before you got in couldn't you.
Think about it!

There's more than one way to get into the water, but you gotta get in to have fun.

People are by nature tribe members. There are leaders and there are followers, but there are few, if any, that are comfortable being left behind. Ergo, don't deny anyone access to your opportunity!

First of all, I believe that life is all about perception and we all make it up so .... having said that, I think that everyone in this clip is following their path. People often wait for someone else to take the risk first. Other jump to the opportunity, some think about it and then go full out, all or nothing personality and others are skeptics all the way in. Bottom line, go for it, the experience is always good!

Since this is the "marketing" metaphors blog, I am going to say that the fun that y'all are having out there on that floating dock is a result of some really good marketing that you did to make the sales to earn the time and the money to take off and relax and have fun in Cancun!

Enrollment is contagious!
You looked like you were up to something FUN, so others got curious and then joined you.

What comes to me is: we can wait on the dock for the boat to come and pick us up to start our "fun", or we can jump in the water and have fun NOW! (AND enjoy the boat ride when it comes back too!) It's the same in business ... you can wait for someone to call you or teach you or invite you, or you can jump in where you are right NOW. MORE will come to you, and sooner! :)

Like Mom instructed us...
"If all the other rich MLMer's jump into off the dock, it doesn't mean you have to"
But Mom.. they are having a lot of fun!
